THE VENUE

The Summer School will take place in the building of the National Library of Latvia (Mūkusalas street 3, Riga) where the Institute of Literature, Folklore and Art (University of Latvia) is also located.

The NLL offers modern, diverse and well-equipped premises for different types of events, such as congresses, conferences, workshops, concerts, presentations, receptions, and exhibitions. All reading rooms and event spaces are accessible to people with reduced mobility. Visually impaired visitors may be accompanied by guide dogs.

HOW TO REACH RIGA

By air

Riga International Airport (RIX) is located just 10 km from the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport or taxi. It offers routes to 83 destinations, including most European capitals and transfer hubs.

By sea

The Stockholm–Riga line is served by Tallink.

By land

There is a bus service between Riga and many European countries. This route is served by Lux Express and Simple Express, Eurolines and Ecolines, and others.

HOW TO REACH THE VENUE

The National Library of Latvia is located on the left bank of the river Daugava in Riga. The venue is easily accessible from the center by public transport, taxi or walking. Trams (e. g. No. 1 and No. 5) and buses (e. g. No. 22 and No. 3) run close to all the hotels in Riga Old Town, cross the bridge and stop close to the conference venue at the stop 'Nacionālā bibliotēka'.
